travel south pacific new zealand wellington cable car

The Wellington Cable Car is a funicular railway between Lambton Quay and Kelburn, a suburb in the hills overlooking the central city.
The car rises 394 feet with three possible stops along the way, Clifton, Talavera, and Salamanca (Victoria University).
At the top is a Cable Car Museum, a restaurant, an observatory, a old defense battery, a space museum, and access to the Botanical Gardens.
The ride is about 5 minutes and, although pleasant, is nothing to write home about.
The views looking out over a soccer field to the city below lacks any wow factor.
Perhaps if you combine it with a walk back down the hill thorugh the Botanical Gardens it would be more memorable.
As for me, its not something I would do again.
